HISTORY
Since 1998
Lasent was founded in February 1998 as the exclusive importer of the German manufacturer Lampertz GmbH. In the first years, we used the trade name Lampertz NL. Lampertz was a manufacturer of the ICT furniture Spectro Data, data safes and modular computer rooms. After Lampertz GmbH was taken over by the Friedhelm Loh Group (Rittal) in 2001, we dropped the name Lampertz NL and continued under ‘Lasent’. This made Lasent completely independent and able to add other products to the portfolio.
In 1998 Lasent started in a room in a multi-company building on the Ampèrestraat in Purmerend. This was followed by an entire floor on the Component. When this space became too small, Lasent moved into its own building on Volume 115. About 18 years after the start of the company, we moved to Volume 132 in Purmerend. A spacious, modern and representative building, with two floors and a large warehouse. Among other things, this warehouse contains spare materials that are necessary to ensure that there is no downtime in the computer rooms. Many materials are also stored here for fast delivery, even complete cooling installations.
Since the start in 1998, lasent has been involved in the (re)construction and maintenance of hundreds of computer rooms and datacentres for numerous small to medium to large organisations and businesses. Lasent B.V. has always remained in Purmerend, on the industrial area De Baanstee Oost.
